We just returned from a weeklong vacation to California. We first drove to Las Vegas, which Kayla declared "the most beautiful place," and spent the night. The next day we drove to San Diego where we spent the night with Andy's friend from college and his family. We spent the following day at Sea World, which we all loved. The shows were amazing and we enjoyed touching dolphins, sea rays, and starfish. We then headed up to Anaheim, where we spent the remainder of the week at Disneyland and California Adventure. The park has changed a lot since Andy and I had last been there as kids. Kayla and Chloe liked going on rides and Chloe would occasionaly cry when it was time to get off a ride. I think I took her on a rocket ride at least six times! We liked our hotel. The girls got their own room with a bunkbed. Kayla made Chloe sleep on the top bunk (it had a rail)! There were so many fun things to do that it is a bit hard to remember everything. A couple of highlights included having lunch with the princesses and the fireworks. We also spent a relaxing day at Huntington Beach - a.k.a. Surfcity USA - and Newport Beach. The weather was beautiful and we loved every minute of our trip (except for Chloe's tantrums when she got overtired). We can't wait to go back...it truly was "the happiest place on earth."
Here we are on the rockets that Chloe loved. She liked to be "astronaut Chloe" and steer the rocket as high as it would go.
