Getting Ready for Halloween

On Monday night we got into the Halloween spirit by carving pumpkins and making caramel apples (my favorite!). This week has also been filled with Halloween parties and lots of opportunities for the kids to wear their costumes.

Super Citizen

We attended a school assembly today where Kayla was awarded the "Super Citizen" award. One student from each class was chosen to receive this special award and, best of all according to Kayla, have a pizza lunch with the principals. Kayla's teacher wrote this about Kayla on the award:

Kayla Keith strives to do her very best at all things. She is a careful listener, models positive actions and loves to learn new things. Her works always shows a creative flair and good thinking. She loves to read and challenge friends at math games. She comes to school ready to do her best job each day. Way to go, Kayla!

We are so proud of you Kayla!!!!!

Two Weeks Old

Mary is growing so fast and the weeks seem to be flying by. She likes to eat all of the time, but especially at night. She has grown half an inch and has gained half a pound as of her two-week appointment. I feel like her face has a whole new look - much more filled out. She is also have longer awake periods. She is generally calm and likes to look around. Chloe is still a big helper and seems to be able to calm Mary down better than anyone else.

Henry and Gracie like to keep a watchful eye on her as well.

Chloe's First Field Trip!

Chloe's preschool class went on a field trip to a local pumpkin patch. The weather was perfect and Chloe loved running through the fields and corn maze.
